HOW MUCH WILL IT COST & HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

LEARN TO DIVE IN ONE WEEKEND!

The beginner certification scuba course is called the Open Water Course.  It is taught in two parts.  The first part is the classroom and pool sessions where you actually learn to dive.  After you have completed the first part you earn your certification by making four open water dives (the second part) where you demonstrate the new skills that you have learned.

Many people want to learn to scuba dive but are so busy that they just don't have the time necessary to take a certification course.  To help those busy professionals who want to learn but have limited time we have developed our "One Weekend Accelerated Open Water Course."   By utilizing a "home study" approach you complete the required reading and viewing of the course video at home at your convenience.

Once this is done you will attend one of our "One Weekend Open Water Courses," where you will meet Friday evening for classroom and Saturday and Sunday for classroom and pool.  Your Instructors will briefly go over the material to answer any questions that you might have.  You will then complete the regular pool sessions.  The entire session can be finished in just one weekend.

WHAT SCUBA EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED?

We will provide for you the major pieces of scuba equipment.  You will each be fitted with a wetsuit to maximize your comfort and enjoyment, a buoyancy control device, scuba cylinder, a regulator, and even your weight belt and weights.

WHAT PERSONAL EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Each student will need their own personal equipment. You will use this equipment every time you scuba dive or snorkel.  You will need a mask, snorkel, boots and fins. We offer these items for sale, and have special prices for those students who are enrolled in our Open Water Classes.  We also have these items available for rent for those who prefer.   Most people, however, find that owning this equipment is less expensive in the long run.  In addition having your own equipment not only makes your diving experience more enjoyable but much safer as well!

WHAT WILL THE CLASS & POOL COST?

The price of the class and pool is $325.00.  Included is your student kit (text book, dive tables and log book) and are yours to keep. We also provide for your use the major pieces of scuba equipment listed above.  Please note that we provide a weight belt and weights and wetsuit to use in the pool.  These are items for which many Dive Centers charge extra!

Not included is your personal equipment which is available from Aquatic Adventures at special purchase prices or for rent.

WHAT WILL POOL TRAINING FOR E-LEARNERS COST?

If you have completed your classroom training online with E-Learning, the cost of your pool training will be $275.00. This price includes a logbook and Recreational Dive Planner, which you will need when you complete your open water dives.  You will not attend the classroom training discussed above, but all the other information on this page will apply to your e-learning package.  Your pool training will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

I FINISHED THE CLASS & POOL - WHAT IS NEXT?

Once you have finished the first part you are now ready for the second part - your certification dives.  This can be accomplished in as little as two days.  You can complete your dives with us locally.  From April through November we follow every beginner class with open water dives the next weekend.  This is done at a local lake that is used only for dive training.  You can also complete your dives on one of our store sponsored trips.

If our travel schedule does not meet your needs, we can book a trip for you to the Caribbean or other exotic location and arrange for you to complete your dives there.  You have twelve months to complete the dives so they can be done at your convenience.

WHAT WILL THE OPEN WATER DIVES COST?

If you complete the dives with us we charge $195.00 for the open water weekend.  This all inclusive price includes the use of all major rental equipment (wetsuit, regulator, cylinders, buoyancy device and even lake entry fees).  You can also complete your open water dives on one of our store sponsored dive trips.  If you prefer to complete your dives elsewhere on your own vacation, we can arrange a Letter of Referral.  There is a $20.00 processing fee for the Referral and remember it is good for up to 12 months.

LOTS OF PERSONAL ATTENTION!

Our class size is limited to insure more personal interaction between the students and the instructors.  We want your diving experience to be a positive one.  Our goal is to make sure that you have mastered the material and skills involved in scuba diving.  We want you to be a safe and comfortable when you dive.

We will have more than enough Instructors and Divemasters on hand to insure that you receive plenty of personal attention.  If you require extra pool time or classroom time to maximize your comfort level, we will arrange that as well, and will always endeavor to keep any extra costs to a minimum.

Check our Schedule of Classes under Education for the next Open Water Course.  Now your busy schedule is no longer an excuse, there is no need to wait any longer.  Get out and dive!
